A common-sense Republican fighting for safer streets, lower taxes, better schools, and a Colorado that works for everyone — not just the politically connected.
Under one-party rule at the State Capitol, Colorado families are paying more, feeling less safe, and watching the legislature spend money it doesn't have.
Rebecca Winegar is a medical/legal professional and longtime Englewood resident running for Colorado House District 3. She believes Colorado deserves leaders who put residents first — not partisan agendas driven by special interests at the State Capitol.
A proud member of the Englewood community, Rebecca has spent the last 11 years raising her family to know and serve Jesus Christ while staying involved with her community and local outreach. When she is not working, she dedicates her free time to advocating for parental rights and pre-born children at the State Capitol and outside Planned Parenthood.
She is running because she is passionate about lowering the cost of living for Coloradans, ensuring public safety, and protecting children. Colorado families deserve someone who will fight for them at the Capitol.
Rebecca Winegar is focused on the issues Colorado families talk about at the dinner table — not the issues politicians talk about on Twitter.
Colorado's crime rate remains among the worst in the nation. I will fight to fund police, oppose soft-on-crime policies, support prosecution of repeat offenders, and ensure every neighborhood is safe to walk, work, and raise a family.
Property taxes in Colorado have jumped up to 40% since 2023. The legislature's so-called "relief" measures were temporary gimmicks that expired, and homeowners are now paying more than ever. I will fight for permanent, meaningful property tax relief — not election-year band-aids that disappear after you vote.
Colorado ranks in the top 10 nationally for homelessness, chronic homelessness, and unsheltered homelessness. Billions have been spent, yet the crisis grows. Research shows the root causes — addiction and mental illness — are not being addressed. I support treatment-first approaches, enforcement of public order laws, and third-party audits of every dollar spent.
Denver's sanctuary city policies have shielded violent offenders, obstructed federal law enforcement, and cost taxpayers hundreds of millions of dollars. I will fight to repeal sanctuary protections and restore full cooperation between Denver law enforcement and ICE.
Parents — not bureaucrats — should decide what's best for their children. I support school choice, curriculum transparency, and parental notification policies. Every child deserves access to a quality education regardless of zip code.
The state legislature passed HB 26-1001, allowing three-story apartment buildings in single-family neighborhoods with no public input. The HOME Act would let developers bypass local zoning entirely. I will oppose state overreach into local land use and defend your right to have a say in what gets built next door.
HD-3 covers Denver, Littleton, Englewood, Sheridan, Cherry Hills and Aurora — neighborhoods filled with working families, small business owners, and longtime residents who feel unheard at the State Capitol. This seat has been held by Democrats for years, and the result is clear: higher taxes, less safety, and policies that prioritize ideology over common sense.
The 2026 primary is June 30, 2026. The general election is November 3, 2026. Every vote matters — especially in Denver, where showing up changes the math.
This campaign is powered by neighbors, not lobbyists. Every dollar donated brings us closer to giving HD-3 the representation it deserves.
Every dollar goes directly to voter outreach, campaign materials, and getting our message to every doorstep in HD-3.
